Works great, Meets the current building codes in Utah for make up air when you turn on a high flow range vent. Hate to buy it and thought it was really dumb but I have a grill on my range and having the make up air vent under the range keeps all smoke from entering the kitchen. Now i see why the code is there, even if building codes are dumb...

I had this installed by a HVAC person when I installed the Zephyr Typhoon range hood. So far this is working well for me. The needle / screw will move when the range hood is operating. So that's how I know that this is working.

Overall, a quality unit, but the foam strips around the damper were not properly installed (significant space between damper and foam). This will lead to reduced heating/cooling efficiency of the system as a whole. In the long run, the loss of thermal energy may cost more than this unit. Please install the foam right - it's important.

Passed inspection no problem, works properly. Local code required an interlock with the furnace fan since this was not in the same room as the appliance - put relay across motor contact and work perfectly.
