Takes a little getting used to, but this opens bottles quickly and quietly. Always a conversation starter too.

I had one of these for about 15 years. The exterior surface must have broken down with age, as it had become “tacky†to the touch. But the mechanism still works perfectly. I am replacing only because of that stickiness. I’m counting on this one to work as well and last as long!

Brookstone has always meant finding a unique item and a quality one at that. This was not the case with this wine bottle opener.First of all, it is very difficult to align the opener to the cork. One must hold the bottle firmly with one hand whilst pushing the opener button with the other hand. Nine out of ten times, the corkscrew did not penetrate the cork sufficiently to remove it and I had to enlist my trusty, but old, Screw Pull to rescue the remaining cork.After multiple attempts, I give up and will return this and order another trusty, but new, Screw Pull!

I've had one for years. Bought this for my DIL so she can stop losing the wine opener. Very efficient and effective.

It opens both real cork and artificial cork very easily. Lasts a long time on only 2 batteries and has a built-in cutter (for the foil) in the base.
