I am a novice bowler. I roll a straight ball, still not brave enough to try the spinning curve ball that most bowlers do. That said, this ball rolls perfectly straight. I am a backup bowler in my co-worker's league and I rolled a 205 with this ball on my first game. My next two games were about 135 and 145, I had a 133 handicap before that. Anyways, I am happy with the ball and feel confident rolling it. The 14 pound weight is right for me. It looks great as well, you will have to get the finger holes drilled as it comes with no finger holes but I knew that prior to purchasing.
