Just a heads up to make sure you’re purchasing a battery with your cutter. The cutter itself worked great on cutting my metal leaf gutter guards.

It did NOT do what I expected it to do! Big machinery but can’t handle the labor such as cutting through thick cardboards (main reason why I purchased it). I’m sure it will do okay with a smaller project! Not satisfied! Oh and it’s not a Mikita brand but it displays as such, deceitful!

Pros:- makes effortless cuts in carpet, heavy cardboard and closed-cell foam. I think it will work on thin sheet metal but I don't have any to try it on.- works with makita 18v (and knockoff) batteries.- It does have a brushless motor- build quality is good, especially for the price.Cons:- the angle on the cutting jaws sends whatever you're cutting straight into the battery. I would have been better if the jaws were at more of an angle so the battery didn't get in the way. If you're cutting something flexible this won't be a problem.- Warranty? Not even mentioned in the listing, so after 30 days you're out of luck.
