I accidentally left it in the box longer than I intended, but it still looked just as beautiful when I finally unpacked it. I purchased it as a Christmas gift for my sister, and she absolutely adores it. Everything was great and exactly what I hoped for- except- one major branch was split partially away from the trunk. I wired it gently back in place and used a sealant on the split as it wasn't detached from the trunk. Is there a chance it will survive and heal ? If it were a large tree I would have serious doubts but---? What should I do? It was securely packaged and repackaging it would be a nightmare. I would rate the tree as a five except for this. I will withhold a rating and posting pending your advice and response. Thank you, it is beautiful. Rod

Before taking it outside, I dressed it up with a turtle, hedgehog, and a couple of sleepy ducks. The tree is still very healthy 15 dayslater, and I hope I can keep it that way.Will use Brussels Bonsai again!

The plant was gorgeous when I got it. It was a gift and I asked my daughter after about a month or so, how it was doing and she said it died. Sooooo, it is either very hard to grow properly or my daughter does not have any shade of a green thumb at all. She does teach Biology, but I guess that may not mean anything. For the money - was a quick loss. I thought it would be easier to grow or strappier!! I was going to get myself one, but not now.

I want to give this 5 stars, but the little man was broken when I got it. Not sure how that happened as it was packaged up well.Amazon replaced it and the guy was not broken in the second one. Because of this I would give it 4 1/2 stars, but that's not an option. So 4 it is.It's a nice tree, and it comes with a small how-to care for it guide. I bought it for by daughter's birthday and she loved it. I like that it has a little 'pond' next to it so the little guy can fish under the tree.I bought this with a set of tools for trimming and stuff, and an actual book about the tree and how to care for it. I'd say the tools are recommended, though not needed if you have some small sharp scissors to use.Also, when Amazon delivered the second one, they laid it on it's side, spilling dirt everywhere inside. I don't fault the seller, the box clearly said LIVE PLANT and THIS SIDE UP with an arrow, but Amazon delivery didn't care. This did not affect my rating, I just wanted to add it to the review.
