Simple and straightforward works as described. However, this thing sucks up major battery power!!! The battery it came with didn’t even last a day.I tried swapping in a decent used battery, I didn’t say new, it was used, but by the time I cycled on the power button, the unit quickly shut down.

I installed new lights in a non-profit and was able to insure adequate light levels.IEEE Gray book is a great resource for calculating light lux levels for the application (office, factory, kitchen, etc.) based on the lumens the fixture puts out to figure number of fixtures and spacing.google can help with this too.

I like this but ended up returning it because I found another with a backlight, costing about the same.💥I don't like the meter cover. When removed, be very careful not to damage the meter. One of the two reasons for my return.Otherwise, this would have been solid had it have a backlight and also the cover was not so hard to take off.

It works good. I wasn't expecting much at the price but it seems like a nice unit for literally being the cheapest price online.Hold down the mode button to change from lux to cp.I'd recommend.

This meter is worse than the light sensor you likely have in your phone. After getting suspicious of readings for our tropical plant growing area, i compared with another meter and found significant differences -- as much as a factor of 2. To figure out which of the meters was correct, i exposed both to direct sunshine (121,000 lux maximum with perfect atmospheric condition) and this meter was pegged at 200,000 lux.If this meter were accurate, all life on earth would have died out long ago....Needless to say the +-4% accuracy claim is pure fantasy. What's more, the use of a 4-element display with multipliers makes reading harder than it needs to be (just spring for a 6-element display, i doubt it costs more than a display with the multiplier patterns on it).
