I have made 10 of these types of stockings, so I know what is right with the kits and what is not right. This particular kit has embroidery floss that is substandard and weak. I had to throw away the black and red floss and buy fresh because it the strands continually broke when I gave a tug to tighten the stitch or fasten the sequin. There was not enough white floss supplied to attach all the snow and sequins. The design is nice but the floss is trash. I would not recommend a purchase of this design.

I am currently working on this stocking and there is so much detail that I love it. The only downfall is there is not an adequate amount of silver metallic thread. I'm only about a quarter of the way done and have run out. Luckily Hobby Lobby has it at a reasonable price so I will be able to finish. That is why I could only give this purchase 4 stars. Other than that make sure you wash your hands often because all the colors are white to taupe. When done, it will be a cherished gift.

I started this two weeks before Christmas for my best friend's little girl and I had zero hope going in that I would be able to finish it by Christmas, but it's easy to assemble and it turned out great. The only thing was that I did ditch the script of the name because I didn't like how it looked, but I used left over sequins to add her name and it turned out perfectly.

The kit arrived promptly, all materials are included, and the felt is of good quality. This is the 9th stocking I have purchased from Mary Maxim and all have been fun to make.

Very disappointing as ordered to go with previous stocking I had bought from Bucilla. The colours shown are completely different than advertised even photo that came in packaging is different from felt supplied. Did e mail and tell them but they were going to make quality control aware which is not a lot of help to me. Definitely doesn’t match my previous stocking colour wise.
