Well worth the cost these Bucilla kits are well designed and have clear directions. They include all you need except the polyfill stuffing.You might also want to purchase higher quality sequins and DMC embroidery thread to use. Check out the videos on YouTube and Facebook groups. Loads of people with helpful hints and willing to help you out!

This kit was easier than a lot of others I have tackled. The instructions were easy to follow. All materials are included. The nomes and Christmas lights are fun! I added a name tag with bells and more snowflakes!

Gnome stocking turned out beautifully. When it was finally finished, one of the gnomes had a free hand, so I made him a little Swedish flag to hold (in honor of the recipient’s heritage). :-)My only complaint—and it’s an important one—is that I was shorted on supplies. I ran out of red sequins and dark green sequins and had to purchase extra, and I bought more beads, since so many were broken that they ran out. In such an expensive kit, running short on enough supplies to complete the project was disappointing.FYI, although the kit information tells you the DMC floss color numbers (in case you need more), the floss included in the kit is NOT DMC FLOSS. So you’re better off just buying the floss up front—cheap floss like the included is prove to color running, especially for red. Don’t let all your hard work go to waste if water ever gets on the stocking…just buy real DMC floss. It’ll work better anyway.Tips on completing the stocking—* Buy DMC floss. Use regular thread if it’s easier for tasks like sewing pieces on.* Plan to spend a lot of time on this—it took me between 60-80 hours when all was said and done!* You will need to have a decent amount of experience with embroidery/hand stitching projects to be able to complete this without frustration.* I should mention—this whole stocking is made without any glue or other shortcuts. It is all hand sewing, at least if you follow the directions.* Fiber fill stuffing and pipe cleaners (required to complete this particular stocking as shown) are NOT included in the kit.* To make the cording, I’d recommend Googling “Bucilla cording how to make†and watch a YouTube video, because the directions given for that in the instructions are very puzzling!* Don’t feel discouraged if you’re having a hard time with this project—it’s a lot of work. Just keep at it and it’ll be worth it in the long run! And maybe don’t plan on making more than one of these in any given Christmas season, it might be Valentine’s Day before you’re finished. ;-)

You cannot go wrong with this brand. Quality product. I have ordered many and they are quality heavy felt. Not thin. When they are finished, they last a lifetime! Pricey but quality usually is

I grew up with these so I decided to make them for my new family. The directions are not great, even worse for someone with no sewing experience. With a little outside research it's fun and easy. However I can already tell with the amount of broken beads and bead to sequin ratio, there's not enough parts.The prints also don't always line up. One snowflake was perfect, another was completely off.

I adapted the design slightly to cover the stain which looks to have come from two different felt colors rubbing together during shipping. All other aspect of this kit were clear and functional. Very easy to follow instructions. Bucilla needs to pack in such a way that dark felt doesn't rub against light felt.

I've been doing Bucilla sequin felt kits for over 20 years. The quality of this particular kit is lacking. Not enough floss to finish the project. Sequins are irregularly shaped and the colours are uneven. Definitely not recommending this particular kit.
