I have three different vehicles that I pull trailers with. A compact pick up, an SUV and an F350 with a 6 inch lift kit on it. That is a wide variety of vehicle heights that I have to accommodate with trailer hitches. I also have three different types of trailers that I pull. A 10 foot aluminum trailer that I put my two Harleys on, a 35 foot flatbed that I haul ATVs and tractors on, and a hydraulic dump trailer for firewood and construction debris. as you can imagine, with those different vehicles and those very different trailers, I have a lot of different hitches laying around in the back of all of my vehicles. I require a variety of different sized balls on straight hitches and drop hitches. I’m constantly looking behind seats for the right hitch to fit a particular trailer to a vehicle. I do have one other adjustable hitch like this however with that one, it requires wrenches to remove and adjust the height of the ball. As you can imagine, it’s not worth the hassle and I never bother to adjust it. It stays with one vehicle to accommodate one specific trailer. This bulletproof hitch is so easy to adjust by merely pulling the key and moving the pin upper down, it will make my life much easier. It also has the two most common size balls on it so you don’t have to switch hitches just to accommodate a different sized ball. You simply pull the pin, flip the ball upside down, and reinsert the pin. Piece of cake!This is a very well built and quality hitch. The ease of adjusting the height is amazingly simple. I can move this from one vehicle to another, switch trailers, and adjust the height in literally seconds. The best thing about this, it’s American made! I looked the company up and they are based out of Florida. It’s so hard to find American made products anymore.This is a great hitch. It’s going to allow me to get rid of some of my other hitches and simplify. Why didn’t I look for one of these years earlier? I absolutely love this product, I think it is a very fair price and has a high enough weight rating to accommodate any need that I am going to have for it. As an added bonus, because of its ability to drop down, when I am using my small Polaris Ranger I can flip this upside down and actually use it as a lift hitch to haul a trailer with my side-by-side. Pulling a trailer with the side by side is generally difficult because it’s so low, but this will work in reverse, allowing you to raise a trailer as opposed to dropping it.

The packaging box for this trailer hitch states "The last hitch you will ever need!". After opening the box and looking at the heavy-duty materials used, precision CNC laser cut parts, the high-quality welds, and uniform powdercoat finish, they just might not be boasting. We've never had a hitch built as well as this one before.Adjustments are fast and easy with the single-pin design. Having two ball sizes on one hitch means less parts to hassle with and store in the vehicle too.The single-pin attachment securing the 2" tall mount to the channel looks like it wouldn't be strong enough to warrant the 10,000 lb rating - with all the torque being transferred to the single contact point in the channel (see photo). But the manufacturer website and instruction sheet states they test their product to 200,000 lbs - and they carry a lifetime warranty (and a 1 year powdercoat warranty), so they must be extremely confident in this design.About the only complaint is only one pin is included (to secure the ball mount to the adjustment channel) - it would have been nice if they included another pin to secure the hitch to the receiver. That would make it a more complete unit without needing to purchase an extra pin. Bulletproof makes very good trailer hitches but this is one of their lightest duty models. It has a single pin connecting the ball mount to the hitch height adjustment holes. It is rated for pulling 10,000 pounds but only 1000 pounds tongue weight. The tongue weight rating of my pickup is 1100 pounds. If I were to order again I would order a model with two pins connecting the ball mount to the hitch height adjustment holes. I intend to use this hitch with a reasonably light 20 to 25 foot long camping trailer that I have not purchased yet. It should be ok but I will have to check with the trailer manufacturer to see this hitch is sufficient. If not, I will have to order a heavier duty model. I have no problem with the design and quality of manufacture of Bulletproof hitches but don't order a lighter duty model than you need, as I may have. When I received this hitch the external Amazon box was intact but the internal box had been opened. Upon inventory of the contents I found only one 5/8" hitch pin and R-clip where there was two pins and clips on the packing checklist. See the attached photo. One pin and clip had been removed from the box. The product listing and description only states that only one pin is included, so the contents were accurate to the product description. I will have to purchase another hitch pin and clip locally to connect the hitch to the vehicle. Not a major expense, but be aware of that when ordering.
