Someday, somewhere, someone will turn their inventor's skills on the challenge of transporting a cake.Pies are relatively easy, flat things that you can cover with foil and move with impunity. Cupcakes are slightly more challenging but due to their social nature (and lack of icing on their sides) they can be easily crammed together in a convenient box and moved without too much concern.Cakes, precious orchids that they are, demand close attention at all times. Making them is an artistic endeavor and moving them is often an Olympic one. Covered with icing or frosting, decorated lavishly up the sides and on top and often structurally unsound consisting of weakly adhered layers and clinging bits of confetti, the prospect of a car ride can be terrifying.Enter the cake carrier.Theoretically a great idea and relatively easy to design properly, reality says otherwise. This cake carrier, while competent and capable of protecting a cake suffers from many of the shortcomings I have noticed in other cake carriers.For the price charged, I would expect solid handles, an easy to lock on cover and a relative certainty that the carrier itself would not accidentally squoosh my cake. What you get are flimsy handles, a base that requires serious investigation to ascertain exactly how the op and bottom should line up and a marked propensity to collapse in upon itself in the event that the telescoping cover is not 'locked' properly in an expanded (or closed) position. While I am tempted to say that a cardboard cake box would do the job better, that is not entirely true. When used correctly, this is better than a cardboard box. But not by a lot.I have never had a cake carrier of this design last too long but it is too early to indict this particular model for the sins of its brethren. What I will say is that a fortune awaits the inventor, seller or entrepreneur who undertakes the challenge and raises the level of this simple device a few notches.

The Helivivfy Bundt Cake Carrier is a great idea. Having a single container to cover various sizes of cakes, pies, cupcakes with a revolving cake stand is great. However, this is so poorly made that it was broken already when it arrived. The first picture is the broken prong at the bottom of the cake stand. It is not a complete deal breaker, make it makes the stand a little wobbly. There is also an odd missing piece on the bottom of the base. Again, not something that makes it inoperable but if you are trying to flip it and use it as a tray, there is an awkward sharp gape in the structure. The worst part of this all is that the main part, the adjustable lid, does not work well. As you can see in the pictures, you slide the second part of the cover over, up and then back over again to keep the lid elevated. However, there is no locking feature, so as soon as you start to carry it, the lid can slide back over and down if you are not careful and slams right on top of the cake you are trying to protect. This will probably be in the garbage before you finish reading this review.

I love it! I always wanted one of these cake carriers and i’m glad that i have one now and i liked that it came in different colors. I like that it’s versatile and can be used many ways, the functionality. I like the large size, large enough to hold quite a bit along with a cake. I like that i can carry this bundt cake carrier just about anywhere and transportng it is no problem, carrier locks and holds real good, i like that it locks tight and holds tight and keeps everything fresh. All in all great quality cake carrier, thick solid polypropylene material, well made to last. I definitely recommend to try one. A great value as well. I am very pleased!

I really wanted to like this, since it will hold a 12" round pan, has a lid that can be raised or lowered, and has a holder for cupcakes. It arriced completely cracked. I tried to raise the lid, but it is almost impossible to move. Once i opended the top, I was unable to close and fasten the clips. Do not buy :(

Nice looking well made and durable. Easy to store and clean. Good size and functional. Only drawback is that it only holds 11cup cakes.
