I looked at quite a few presses while looking for something specific in my head. I don't like two piece presses. They often get the mince stuck in the cavity side. The other hinged presses are full of unsanitary crevasses and are just far too complicated in design and over thought. When I saw this, it matched what I thought I wanted. Almost exactly. But with so few reviews, even tho they were all 5 star, I took a chance. FINALLY, I'm satisfied with an Amazon risky purchase. This thing should be on America's Test Kitchen and I'm going to recommend that it does. - It's all one piece, all stainless, easy to use, easy to clean, never gets stuck, and extremely useful.I really don't like overworking ground meat. It makes for a less tender burger. This one does not over press, and paired with a food scale, it really does make a perfect patty.I just measured out 152g balls of mince beef, (1/3lb patties) on my food scale placed on wax paper. Place the press on top an he push until you feel enough resistance. The patties never got stuck to even need to eject it out of the press. It works more like the old nut chopper in the back of your cupboard.I will say, the measurements printed on the inside are useless because it is difficult to measure the beef in the device accurately before pressing it. Mainly, because you end up doing most of the work forming the patty before you press it. Which takes allot longer than using a food scale. But I was so happy with the press, I didn't even think of discounting that. And if you don't have a kitchen scale, or want to buy one, at least they still have the measurements as an option. But do yourself a favor and buy a scale, they're cheap and useful for all your recipes.It took less than 5min to clean. And after you rinse it, you can toss it in the dishwasher if you have one. I did mine by hand with ease.Bottom line, if you make a lot of burgers, or cater parties, this gets my top recommendation. I don't often write reviews, but after the 10th patty, I grabbed my phone to start taking photos as I knew I wanted to review it!

It’s a simple tool that requires little skill. You can size your portions accordingly and have consistent weights.You should put wax paper or foil on both sides of the press to eliminate meat sticking.Takes apart for easy cleaning.

Great price, sturdy, well made and gets the job done. I weighed each patty and then pressed it down until I saw the marker on the inside. The only thing I did was place my patty on my cutting board covered it with a plastic sandwich bag and then pressed. The bag kept the patty from sticking to the press, rach patty was held together, and made for very easy clean up. Used a spatula to lift up and placed in my container to take to the grill. Washed with hot soapy water and had no issues.

The product is manufactured from stainless steel, it looks neat in appearance and is soild. It is easy to use, one can form patties quickly and easily. 1/2 cup of burger=1/4 pounder. Using a 1/2 cup to measure I made 8 balls of burger, with the help of small wax paper sheets I quickly made 8 patties. I am recommending this product to friends. Clean up consists of unscrewing the plunger from the plate, removing the spring and simply washing. No cracks or crevasse to worry about. Everything about this nifty little gadget is quick and easy...

My husband loves to make burgers and this is his new favorite item. He uses parchment paper on top and bottom of the burger so it's a snap to clean. Well made , good price.

The burger press was completly broken, not because the shipping but because the poor welding quality.All the electrical welding was broken.
