Applications
Straight flute design, made of 6542 high speed steel. It is used to process threads of various through holes or shallow blind holes. Blind holes cannot be processed. Can process copper, brass, A3 steel, aluminum, cast iron and other materials.
Generally used in conjunction with tapping machines, integrated bench drills, CNC lathes, machining centers, etc. Manual processing is also possible. When operating, control the speed according to the hardness of the material, the higher the hardness of the processed product, the slower the speed.

Straight Fluted Tap
Suitable for machining materials with powdery chips. Through hole or shallow blind hole can be machined.
Spiral Point Tap
Suitable for through holes, the chips are discharged downward. The machined thread surface is of high quality.
Spiral Flute Tap
Used for blind hole machining, chip removal upward, good chip removal effect, no residual cutting.

It worked the way it was supposed to. Used it to fix the buggered threads on a harmonic balancer on an old 300 cu. in. (4.9l) Ford inline six that someone before me had worked on. Fixed the threads and was able to use the correct OEM size bolt on the new pulley. Highly recommend this product.

I used this tap to extend the threads on the fuel inlet of an Edelbrock Carburetor. This is an aluminum bodied carb, so it is not a very hard material to work with. However, it cleaned up and deepened the threads with ease and I would use it again if I had a need.
