Followed the instructions and ... it works! Seems a bit loose at first (in the hole) but, doesn't come out and 2 weeks later, still working! (whew) MUCH cheaper and easier than replacing the whole shift cable.

This little piece saved me hundreds of dollars. The piece just fit right in and is very durable and did the job. It got me riding again and out of being stuck in reverse.

Have a 2010 Chevy Equinox the bushing went out on the shift cable. Went to every auto parts store in the area (a good 11 of them), and they all said that beyond 10 years they don't carry most nonuniversal parts. So I had this on order which took a couple of days to come in but once it came in took mere minutes to install and was back on the road in a flash. Only needed the green piece provided in there. Took a little work but fit like a glove and I can feel it snap back on the ball with no popping off without force.Bit more money than parts you get from the auto parts store (double the cost), but did quickly fix the problem and came in sooner than I could order the other one.I can't speak of longevity but can only pray it doesn't wear out easy

pretty expensive for 2 bushings and insertion tool I didnt need at 29$ for a 1.20 in injection parts.Part was not the same size or shape... it was much smaller. I used the sideways insertion method and it was easy to push in... Yukon working again. Sad design in the first place... just think how easy it would be to leave a bunch of yukons stranded in a parking lot.

Looked all over for a transmission shift cable bushing for my 2008 GMC Sierra 2500HD Duramax (Allison 6 speed transmission). Parts stores tried to convince me the bushing for the upper cable would work... it didn't. I actually called BushingFix and confirmed that I needed the Si2Kit. After looking at the parts I wasn't sure this was really the right thing. Looked too small. It's not. It fits into the eyelet of the cable with a slight click and snaps securely onto the shifter bracket. No amount of pulling could get it back off. It's, on, it's secure and it functions flawlessly. The truck is 15 years old and this bushing, like the original is nylon-ish. I expect to not have to worry about this ever again... but only time will tell regarding durability. Fingers crossed.

Tried it on my 03 yukon. It fell off over and over and over. I finally just drilled a hole and put a bolt though it. Never have to worry about the shifter cable coming off now! Dont buy this

One day I went to shift into gear and the shift lever just swung freely. It just slid up and down with no resistance and it didn't change gears. I knew it was bad. I got under the car and saw that the shift arm had come off. There's a little bushing in there that holds it on. That thing had basically disintegrated. I took a chance and ordered this part. So glad I did. After cleaning up the old bits from the shifting arm hoop/eye or hole (whatever it's called) I popped this one in sideways like they suggest and then turn it inside the eye so it lines up with the holes. Then I simply popped the eye back on the attachment point and it held on like it was meant to. That was months ago now (maybe even a year ago), either last summer or the one before (covid time is messing with me). Everything is still working. Highly recommend if you have to replace yours.

I changed the bushing on my 1997 Astro at the fraction of the cost from the dealer. The bushing is fairly easy to change and YouTube is very helpful as well. The dealer wanted 200$ for a kit and wouldn’t sell me the bushing alone. I was very happy to find this bushing on Amazon. It’s been installed for a few months now and as of now no issues the shifter is working normally!!
