I have large hands and low blood pressure. Cold hands has always been a problem for me, living in Michigan. Typical winter gloves are usually too tight-fitting and don’t allow healthy blood flow and room for air inside the gloves to help insulate the hands to stay warm. I was looking for a very large mitten with a lining so I could wear them alone in mild winter weather or, if it gets very cold, I will put a loose cotton glove and then put my hand in the large lined mitten. 2XL are not big enough for me. These came in a 3X and they are perfect. They allow room for circulation and layers for comfort and much-needed warmth. The buckskin suede finish is very nice and they’re very well made. I highly recommend these mittens.

I have big hands and always buy the largest size offered. I wish I had sized down one notch, in this case. The rear skirting runs halfway up to my elbow, for no discernible reason. These mitts are unusually puffy, almost like boxing gloves. I could actually stand erect and give a good shake and let gravity take both gloves. I cut the necks off two cotton socks and slipped the elastic sock necks over the wrist section of the mitts. The cotton sock sleeves give me a place to blot my nose when I'm out bicycling in 28 degree temps. The sock necks also squeeze and clamp the gloves to my wrists, so that the mitts are locked onto me and can't be shaken off. Being a bit oversized is not going to be and issue now with the sock necks in place. I have not ridden my bike with these mitts on as yet, but I ride every other morning, so I will soon see how well they work for me. I'm prone to frozen finger tips, and these look to me like the world's warmest bike gloves ever (if a bit overkill). I'm keeping them.I'm also ordering a more conventional Chopper Mitt, custom sown, from Henry's Shoe Repair in Eley, MN. These will be a much thinner, lighter mitt, of the traditional pattern, for stepping outside the cabin in the far, frozen north to chop wood for the stove. The custom mitts will come with rag-wool liners.

i am 75 and i thought it was impossible to buy quality choppers anymore. these have proved me wrong.the quality is exceptional. i bought 2xl and they fit great i have really big hands and there is more thanenough room i highly recommend if you looking for a quality chopper at a great price!!

Love these mittens. Soft but strong leather which is ideal for snow shoveling grip and keeping hands warm in very cold temps.

My husband had given me a pair of these years and years ago, and I had worn those so much there are now holes in one. I'm so happy to have this new pair. I am a year around walker, and Wisconsin winters can be harsh. I am always cold, and my hands are not cold in these mittens. Well worth the money.

Mitten is nicely constructed but the liners are so thin you can see through them. Might be nice for southern states but not for Minnesota winters. Fortunately I can have some good liners made that will actually keep my hands warm.

I ordered a large so I could wear them over other gloves in cold weather when I walk. They are big enough for that. They are so big my hands look like a cartoon character and they're not buff color, they are yellow. Bright, almost canary yellow. They look ridiculous but they are warm. Goal achieved.
