The average weight is 97 grams, and the blade thickness is 7.9mm. The FL handle is 100x24, and the ST handle is 100x23. This Defensive blade is suited for and allow for control on attack shots, so the recommendation for attacking players would be the Dignics line of rubbers. It provide the perfect balance between close to the table attack and chop with the Dignics 05. Mid distance attack and chop with the Dignics 80, and long distance chop and attack with the Dignics 64. Since this is a defensive blade it is complimented by rubbers like SpinArt that creates heavy spin if the chop is the desired shot. As well as the long standing chop rubber best seller, in Tackiness. The Feint Long III is the perfect backhand rubber that can easily absorb attack shots, heavy spin shots, as well as reversing the spin of loops. To add more grip to this blade you can get the Soft Grip Tape. It provides grip and comfort to the racket handle. Another great choice for racket care is adding side tape to the blade. It can protect the wood in the event it is hit on the table.

I used to use the Grubba Pro FL before it was discontinued which was also a semi large bat. That was very nice but it doesn't compare to the Diode V. This is a brilliant blade for blocks when combined with a fast rubber such as Tenergy or even Diginics. It may seem counterintuitive to have a defensive blade with powerful rubbers, but for the blocking game I have found this to be an excellent combination, meaning that even against very experienced players it is possible to block essentially any shot if in the right position at the time. This means footwork has to be great in order to get into position, and of course mine is far from that. However it does mean that against even some extremely good players, it is possible to block heavy topspin or sidespin loop with alacrity which tends to have a very disheartening effect leading to mistakes from the other side. This bat also allows for some measure of counterattack again when combined with fast rubbers and it can be surprisingly easy to do this. The chops are also very easy to effect with really nice throws if done right. I cannot be 100% certain how much a defender that relies more on long distance drop type shots would like this blade, but I know of no better one for the blocking game.
