I crochet amigurumis (stuffed toys) so I save every scrap of yarn for future use. I was using toilet paper cardboards to wrap the leftover yarn but it started taking a lot of space. I started making my own bobbins but I prefer to use the little free time I have to do actual crochetting. These are perfect, cheap and take very little space. I hold the end with a little craft clothespin so that it doesn't unravel. Using it is great, once the yarn is attached to the project it doesn't unravel. I am not sure how it would work with thinner yarn but with worsted (size 4) it works great

I love them , no snagging , may unwind at times but i clip them to the blanket . I like how they do unwind smoothly ,unlike other bobbins you have to force the slot pieces apart to release the yarn . These are a good price for 40 pieces , Strong plastic but nicely made and very light .

Love how sturdy they are and how many you get. They also hold quite a bit of yarn so you don't have to constantly reload it. Definitely earned the 5 stars!

I bought these for a big project, and I needed really large bobbins. There is nothing in the description to say these were for bulky weight yarn. The worsted weight yarn I am using is constantly slipping out of the slot and I ended up with a tangle that took over one hour to undo. Now, I use safety pins to attach the bobbin to the last stitch of that color in the row - which is tiresome and inconvenient.Other than that, these are sturdy, colorful, and hold a lot of yarn.

Nice amount for the price. I chose to wrap my yarn around the middle then let the end hang through the slit (see pics) I’m doing a c2c project and I have few in use. Working out nicely.

They work great for cord management in macrame. Was concerned they would be too small, but they are great. Pic has them holding 4mm cord. Super easy to use.

My original yarn bobbons looked just like these but were not as large. They are the same configurtation just smaller. Love these larger ones. Looked at a lot of options and these looked like the best of what was offered on Amazon. So very happy that I ordered them. They hold a lot more yarn than the smaller ones and are great to knit with. Have several other types that are rectangular shapes and are not "user friendly". Highly recommend these Butterfunny Large Yarn Bobbins!

These are working perfectly for the graphgan I'm currently making. I usually have all kinds of tangles when I have several skeins of yarn clipped to my blanket. I just placed these on a thin rod and flipped the entire rod every time I flipped the blanket. No tangles. Saved so much time! They are made well and are sturdy hard plastic. Great price for so many too.

I had high hopes for these as I do a lot of colourwork. Sadly, the plastic bends very easily and the yarn will slip out. Useable, but a homemade option might have been better.

I make rugs for Child Protection and Foster children and I had decided to do something a little more tricky and these bobbins will figure in creating the design of multiple squares.
