The one I received is different than the picture on the seller's page. Not complaining though. I think the one I received is better.I installed this on a hydraulic lift to slow the speed of the cylinder. The control knob provides plenty of resolution so you are able to adjust the flow to exactly what you need.The reason I removed this is that I didn't look carefully at the description. This one controls flow in only one direction, and a valve that controls the flow in both directions is what I needed.

I used this flow control to slow the DROP on my motorcycle lift with a tempco pump. Works great. Slows my lift to barely moving with a 900 lbs. bike on the lift.

I was suprised to see the 1/4 npt in black and brass color. I was hoping for that. Very beefy looks very heavy duty. The variable knob is also beefy yet smooth to turn. I have not added the part to the hydraulic down feed but whwn i do i will update post after the fact. 1st impression i like it.Ive had this for some time now a few years. It still operates just as is did whenni firat took it out of the box its buttery smooth.

Buy it to test hydraulic pump. I used it the week after I receive it and help me find that my pump was not good.
