I have been playing guitar for many years. This capo is easy to use and it can be adjusted to apply kist the right pressure you want on the strings. It is easy to use and it is durable. I own 3 of these capos. i like to keep them in my guitar cases so I don't have to go looking for one when I leave the house with a different guitar. Because of the price range this capo is great for pros and beginner guitar players.

Works well, stays in tune, easy to put on and remove, small so it doesn’t get in the way.

Shubb never fails! This capo is small, doesn't stick out like some of my other capos. It took a couple of minutes to figure out how it works, but once I tried it I found there's no buzz on any fret. I also noticed that the guitar stayed in tune during and after use. I will definitely get a couple for my steel string guitars.

The Shubb system is still one of the safest and easiest capo styles available. The adjustment of the capo's firmness can be done in tiny, sensitive increments, which is particularly important with nylon string guitars. If the pressure is a tiny bit off, you can either push the strings out of tune, or risk rattling and buzzing. Classical guitars with their straight fingerboards make it particularly hard to achieve ideal pressure across all six strings. The Shubb comes as close as possible, but still needs to be in the sweet spot to avoid the above mentioned problems. in my experience, the best place is very close to the fret wire, with medium pressure.

Hands down - the best capo I've purchased for classical guitar. Mind you, it's not a "quick change" capo. I fastened it while the guitar was still in the case so as to attach it correctly. There are other capos on the market (Dunlop 88B, e.g.) that are perfect for quick changes between frets. This Shubb capo is for when you want to "set it and forget it." The benefit is that intonation is unaffected and the tone remains clear. Shubb has been around for many years and I'm quite late to the party - better late than never!

This is an expensive capo, but worth it. The strings are very evenly pressured and it pops on and off with no adjustments and just the right tension. It’s fully adjustable that way. I’ve had one of these for decades and decades, and sadly disappeared. This is its replacement. I ordered the exact same thing. I have a bunch of other capos in the house I never use – they all have issues. When you’re ordering one of these, make sure that you get the right one for your guitar. They sell various models where the the top part that hits the strings has a different curve. This one is the right one for most acoustic steel string guitars. Electric guitars have a different curvature and they make one for it.Beware of cheap Chinese imitations of this design. They are not as sturdy and they are not as even with regards to pressure on the strings. A capo should use the minimum amount of pressure to stop buzzing and no more, but should never buzz. This can do that.

It was the only capo that fitted the fifth fret on my flamenco guitar with narrower neck. Having said that, there is still room for improvement. But works very well on classical guitars. And yes, the tuning remains consistent during and after you remove the capo.
