This is such a simple little tool. It works out great! It’s visually pleasing enough to sit out with my candles, which I burn nonstop. This works out much better than a candle snuffer.

I hate the smell of smoke after blowing out a candle, so this wick dipper is perfect for quickly putting out a candle without the smoke fumes. Simply dip the wick in to the wax and voila, flame is put out and no billowing smoke! It's a solid metal dipper and is a great value!

I can’t believe I haven’t heard about wax dippers until now! I am a huge candle fan and have always used a snuffer to put out the flame. This tool is so much better because you don’t get the smoke afterwards. Easy to use and works for most candles except tapers.

Good length for candle wicks, and it sturdy yet lightweight. Works exactly as needed.

You simply “dunk†the burning wick in the melted wax, which puts out the flame. After dunking you pull the wick back up straight, this coats the wick and makes it easier to light next time. You may still want to trim the wick when relighting, however since using this I no longer have those unsightly chunks of burnt wick that broke off when I would blow out the candle. I really like this. You could probably make something that performs this function, I thought of doing that, but it was inexpensive and sim glad I bought it. Thank you for reading.

This thing is perfect, you literally get exactly what you see and it does it’s job well. I will say it’s a bit thin but it was affordable so I’m not complaining.

This candle-putter-outer is definitely what you pay for. It's a cheap imitation of a similar, more expensive (by only a few bucks) product by a popular brand. While it appears to be stainless steel as advertised, it is rather thin and lightweight and bends easily. It is therefore not the safest tool to use around open flames. If you use a wick dipper to carefully clear candle wax around the inside of jar candles while burning to prevent excess wax buildup, do not use this tool. It is unsafe because it bends from even light pressure. And do not use it on wooden wicks. It cannot withstand the pressure.I took a close-up picture of the dipper to show just how cheaply it is manufactured. You can clearly see that the surface is not smooth like the de facto dipper it is copied after. There are light vertical grooves all over the surface. It's quite ugly. It also collects fingerprints easily and, while easily cleaned with dishwashing soap and water, is difficult to keep looking clean due to its magical fingerprint magnet powers.Do yourself a favor and spend a few more dollars on the real McCoy.
