The 3 Standard Water Filter Replacements for Brita pitchers work just as well as the name-brand filters at a much lower price. While they don’t come with instructions, I followed the standard process of soaking for 15 minutes and flushing with two pitchers of water before use. The filtration rate is the same as the original Brita filters, and I didn’t notice any strange tastes, which is important since I’m very sensitive to water flavors. The only difference is the top of the filters—Brita ones are easier to pick up—but that’s a minor inconvenience. Given that these cost half as much as the brand-name version, I’ll be sticking with these from now on.
