My Kindle Fire is pretty old (2011 I think) and has always worked well. Last year I misplaced the charging cord and was briefly concerned. I need not have been. It was a cinch to get a new cord and after charging briefly, it works like a charm

I have owned my amazon ebooks since they were first introduced. The charging cords I received are very sturdy, super long and very flexible. But an electric plug was not included with the charging cables to plug into electric outlet. I used my existing charging base. However, after being plugged in for several hours (5) my reader was not charged. Would be helpful if Amazon included the charging electric connector for the cord. Without it the cable don't work. This information would have been helpful to know before i made my purchase. I will search Amazon to look for a charging connector compatible with these cords. Without this piece the cords are unusable. Boohoo Amazon for not including this crucial piece of equipment.
