I used these to power several 3.5" hard drives in a 3D printed enclosure and needed to shorten the cables for my setup. The wire quality is impressive, with a nice thick coating, and the connectors feel solid—snug but not overly tight. The molded plugs are well-made, and everything just works. If I ever need SATA power splitters for another project, these will be my go-to choice.

This package of 3 SATA Y-splitter cables was very affordable. If you do not have enough power cables in your computer for another SATA drive but you do have a data port to connect the new drive to, you can use these cables to change one power cord for the SATA drive to two ones. The cables didn't look flimsy or cheap and they worked well out of the bag. The price is very good for three, almost the same as other sellers ask for one. There is one thing you need to be careful with though, be sure you are not overdrawing your computer power supply, that could damage your computer. But SATA drives take up half or less than your DVD drive and a tenth or less than a video card, so overloading it due to an extra SATA drive would be very rare.

Got this since the small form factor PC didn't have enough power connectors. Installed without issue and has been running for a few months now.The only thing I wish it had was latches to keep it locked in place.
