On my desk, I have three monitors. The one on the left has VGA, HDMI, and DisplayPort inputs, and the one on the right has HDMI and VGA inputs. My work laptop (provided by my workplace) came with a docking station that has 2 Displayport outputs, and 1 HDMI output. I bought two of these cables because I wanted to connect my work laptop to my monitors through VGA, while leaving my personal machine connected through the Displayport and HDMI inputs (respectively).Despite being crossed over the snake-pit of cords (electrical, USB, video, etc) behind my desk, these cables seem to do their job beautifully, with no dropouts or significant distortion (nothing beyond the slightly washed-out colors you'd normally expect from VGA)! I was able to get an HD picture on both monitors, and they haven't yet failed after a week of use!Also, these cables do not require an external power supply (they seem to get their power from the Displayport), and they shut their VGA signal off completely when the computer has gone to sleep. This is important for those of us who have a limited number of USB or AC ports available, and who use auto-scanning to detect and display whichever computer is awake.Though gold-plating isn't usually important for digital connectors like Displayport, it IS important for analog connectors like VGA. These cables are gold-plated on both ends, and they also include plastic caps on each end to prevent dust and dirt from entering the connectors when not in use.Next, I'll probably get an HDMI to VGA cable, so I can connect the center monitor to my work computer as well.

This cable works well with my old emachine display i have until I replace it with something better or used it for extra display when needed. Be careful of bad reviews who aren't giving a true sold review and honest from the heart.

I needed a display port connector cable to connect to my VGA port on my old monitor to extend my laptop screen space so I can work more efficiently while I work at home and this cable was perfect. Product was as described, affordable, made well and durable and long enough to allow enough length to connect from my laptop dashboard cube to my monitor. I also like that the connector cable wire was thick and won’t easily get wrangle and damage easily. It comes with a 24 months limited warranty too showing the company is willing to stand behind their product if there is any issues unrelated to misuse or abuse or tearing causes. Very happy customer.

Computer video outputs have so many formats. It’s good to have a cable without adapters in the middle. DP to VGA. DP to HDMI. Music: MICKEY MOUSE.

I can't use HDMI to HDMI cable to connect my PC to a TV. It goes slightly offscreen at the edges. That's why I have to use this connector. It works well with my PC to TV connection and the screen actually brightened a bit after I changed to this connector.

Se trata de un cable imprescindible para conectar antiguos monitores VGA, sin entrada digital, a muchas de las actuales tarjetas de salida display port (DP). Su acabado es bueno y el baño de los conectores ayuda a mantener una buena conexión en los pines.
