I am using this on a Ruger 10/22 Takedown with stainless steel 18 inch barrel and synthetic stock. It’s a perfect and snug barrel band replacement for the original Ruger barrel band. The picatinny rails work perfectly with streamlight light/laser, Magpul bipod, and picatinny rail QD risers. It works really well and is not plastic. I am very pleasantly surprised at how well it works. I can’t speak to how it works on wooden stocks or any other 10/22’s, but it works very well on my Takedown. I would buy this again and I would recommend this to anyone. Try it, you can always return it as Amazon is really great with returns.

The included screws wouldn’t thread to the other side without using vice grips. It caused some light scratching on the stock. I have the standard stock. Once installed it has worked perfect and seems to be pretty good overall quality. We go shooting 1-3 times a week, so it gets pretty heavy use and has no issue.

It's a snug fit on my Ruger 10/22 All Weather. That's the stainless version with the polymer stock and scalloped butt with the large Ruger brand name in the scallops. Make sure to remove the two screws before sliding in the band. The finish is a bit rough. So, it will leave shallow scratches on the top of the barrel during installation. Something that I think can be remedied with a Dremel polishing wheel later on. Bought this to attach a bipod at the bottom rail. The MLok slots on the sides are a bonus for lights, lasers, etc.
