I love this drum. I have a larger cajon, but it is cumbersome to lug around. The sound of this one rivals the larger one but is incredibly light to carry. My only dislike is that it did not come with the wrench to adjust the snares, as the description indicated. Definitely not enough to lower the rating, though!

I live in a tiny home with a LOT of animals, so space is always at a premium, and it's most noticable when trying to play instruments. Even playing my smaller djembe is awkward and cramped in this space, and I missed having a quick and easy way to drum when the mood hits.This travel cajon works pretty well to scratch that itch. It's quite slim and portable, with a nice little protective case. It doesn't take up much space during either storage or use.It has no low end, as expected with a drum this slim. I don't mind so much about the lack of lows, but those expecting a full cajon experience will be disappointed.As soon as I opened this, I handed it to my friend who is very experienced in full-size cajons, and he immediately made it sound good, with various cajon techniques in different areas of this travel cajon.It's not nearly as versatile as a full cajon, but I expected that.Sounds great for what it is! Love having the snare wire in there, though I wish there was a guaranteed way to replace the snare wire in case of wire breakage.One ofy biggest gripes with this is that there's no way to attach a strap to it. I may either make a harness for it, or find a way to drill some holes without damaging the instrument, but it needs a strap imo - it's kind of awkward to me to only be able to play it while seated and having the cajon places flat on my lap, especially since I have restless legs issues.All in all, a nice little travel cajon with some limitations, but great for casual jamming and for helping me relieve restlessness/anxiety/stress/etc.
