When you are making a dessert with multiple layers including cake, whipped toppings and mousse, the acetate will support the layers while your fillings are settling or the dessert is being chilled. It can also come in handy when frosting a cake to give you smooth and even sides. While this product is described as having good heat resistance, I was taught that you cannot use it in the oven. The heat resistance is useful if you are pouring a warm mixture, like pudding, as one of your dessert elements. This roll is priced reasonably and the acetate is a good quality.

I really love this acetate roll! It works perfectly for when I want to make quick and simple desserts for my friends that still look amazing! I originally got it because I thought it would really help make strawberry shortcakes look really clean and neat, and it worked perfectly for the job. It is only 5.5 inches so it does work best for smaller desserts still definitely recommend.

The acetate roll is 8 inches high and the roll length is 394 inches, so a little over 32 feet. The thickness of this acetate roll is very good for doing a dessert that I want that is 8 inches high.I can even cut it in half, length wise for small desserts in height of 4 inches. This is going to take my desserts to a whole new level, no pun intended.I find it's a good value at $16.99 for this amount of acetate. I'm looking forward to doing my Christmas dessert with this. This roll of acetate is definitely helpful when you're making multi layered desserts to assist the fillings to stay in place while they solidify.And it does just that. You're essentially just wrapping your cake/dessert and then start layering. I thought it held well (with tape).Where I think it errs, is the height of it. It's only 5.5 inches tall. Most of my cakes are taller than that. Give me an 8 or even better a 10 inch tall acetate and it would get full marks.

Solid sheet of plastic that’s sturdy and keeps upright; perfect for keeping cakes intakes, stiff plastic that doesn’t bend, easy to control and cut. Nice quality and length for multiple cakes. 10/10
