Adequate to the task. However, it does not turn smoothly. Not really best for a professional baker or at-home baker who does lots of cakes. Requires a non-slip mat underneath to prevent slipping on the counter.

I love that the cake turntable serves the purpose well for novice bakers. I baked a three layer birthday cake for myself and turntable worked perfectly for icing the cake. I am very pleased. It really exceeded my expectations. The price point is phenomenal. While the turntable is made of plastic, it's very durable
