I've reviewed a bunch of items, and truly endeavor to help others to know a product before they buy. In this case, there truly is almost nothing to say, for the product simply is that, well, simple.Plastic topper on metal wire. Nothing special, nothing untoward. In truth, I think the product could and should be sturdier. The plastic is a bit on the cheap side, and the metal tester is also quite thin. At the same time, it gets the job done, and thicker is not always better.This particular style of tester is really going to do well with lighter, and perhaps deeper cakes, where you really don't want a javelin hole showing. So, all in all, and for the price, I think it's pretty good.Just a note to take care of its storage, as if left in a "rumble drawer", it will easily break.

Good quality testers. Haven't tried many different kinds of cakes but out of the box seems like it'll do the job.
