My son is part of a year round swim team and he is everyday at the pool, for practices, for about 1 hour and after that he jumps in the jacuzzi and stays for about 15 minutes or so. When he comes out of the water, he "reeks" of very strong chlorine. I always look for clean alternatives since he is dipped in a lot of chemicals and this soap has worked perfectly. With other soaps we tried he would still smell like chlorine after showering, but this soap has worked for him, even the ones that have charcoal. I have not tried the specialty swimming soaps, because they are also full of chemicals. So far we are very satisfied with the purchase and have continued buying this on a subscription basis.

I am in highly chlorinated water each week for about four to eight hours and have tried all the big names in chlorine removal/neutralizer products. This is the only one that does not have sodium laurel sulfate (SLS), which dries my hair worse than chlorine. SLS is an additive that makes things foam and suds up. The majority of Americans have been conditioned (pun intended) that suds are an indication of cleaning effectiveness. This is where the confusion occurs in many of the reviews. To be clear, this will not foam up, but will take the chlorine out. I use a little conditioning shampoo afterwards.I have been using this product for three weeks and it works great for me.

This works great. My only complaint is I wish It came in a bigger size for how often we need it! Definitely removed chlorine odor from skin & is gentle enough for my toddler.

My daughter and I swim in a team pool that is chlorinated. The pH of the pool is well balanced so neither of us get green hair, so I can't comment on its effectiveness there. But, even after rinsing, we both still smell like chlorine after swimming. This shampoo and body wash gets rid of the smell AND the associated dry skin feeling gently. I can wash my face in it after lap swim and drive home without moisturizer. It also helps my daughters hair not turn into crunchy straw. We also use it on the boat and it lathers in salt water.What it doesn't do so well: I have thick long hair. This does not lather like conventional shampoo. It does not get my hair squeaky clean like conventional shampoo. It also doesn't dry my hair, irritate my scalp, and require lots of conditioner like a conventional shampoo. It allows me to have a quick solution after swimming so that my hair can last longer between deep washes and conditions.If you are a grown-up with a lot of hair expecting something like you are accustomed to, this will disappoint. If you are a kid or someone with thinner hair, this is fantastic!

I have used this as a shampoo and body wash when working as a Swim Lesson Instructor (in the pool daily), Water Exercise Instructor, and Lifeguard. Even when using the pool daily, I never smelled like "pool" afterwards when using this. My hair never seemed to get dry or brittle. Worked great!

The shampoo seems pretty drying to the hair and I don’t think cleanses that we’ll. Not a fan of the smell either. Appreciate that it’s bio based but won’t be buying it again

My kids have been swimming more than usual because of COVID and the chlorine was ruining my daughters hair. I tried another(more expensive) shampoo and it didn’t work too well. Then I ordered this one and it actually gets the chlorine out of her hair! I use a more hydrating conditioner afterwards. I didn’t think it smelled bad like some of the other reviews said. I think this is a great, safe, and effective product to use on your kids.

This is my favorite shampoo for kids. It washes hair and body very well. I love the herbal natural smell. The consistency is perfect. Small amount goes a long way. My child has very thick hair and it does a great job at keeping the hair and scalp healthy
