I cannot vouch for the durability of this particular pan as I have only used it a few times since it (very quickly) arrived from Amazon. But, I also have an 8 month old Calphalon Sear/Non-stick pan which lost its "sear" quality pretty quickly even though I did not use spray oil, metal utensils or dishwasher. So, with this pan, I am using spray oil, but still no metal and hand washing. It sautes and browns really well. Burnt onions slide right off (I answered the phone while cooking). It cleans up in a flash. I give it 5 stars for the beautiful carmelization it achieves despite my poor cooking skills. The pan is fairly lightweight and the handle does not get too hot. It is also a good size for a steak or fish fillet, being about 8 1/2" across. But the description says it comes with a lid and it does not. The lids are sold separately or there appears to be another version of this pan with a lid. Amazon made everything all right with a credit for the lids, so I have no complaint about Amazon at all. Amazon has been very fair with me.

This is a great everyday pan for small size dishes. it is deeper as compared to calaphlon triply omelete pan so its more versatile for stir frying etc...It is heavy and looks very strong ...and is one of the best non-stick pans I have used ..I did return this pan since it had black/burn mark on it and it came w/o box and booklet and unprofessionally wrapped in just a platic wrap and also had a black burn mark on it (not very visble though). I have the griddle from same product line and holds the same review.This plan is pricey at 39$ especially if you compare 2 pans - 10 and 12 inch for ~48$! if you are not too inclined on the smaller pan, go for the bundled deal!

This is a Calphalon CONTEMPORARY, and the top diameter is actually 8 1/2". It will fit an 8 1/2" lid, but an 8" lid is too small. That being said, the pan is solidly built and smooth. An omelet slides right out of the pan, and the pan is easy to clean. This is my second pan, replacing one that had see daily use (and abuse) since 2015. SOME people say you can clean these in the dishwasher, but I don't recommend it. My first pan' interior turned a brown color after the first time I put it in the dishwasher, and it was never as non-sticky again.

I had bought a new set of Calphalon pots and pans but it did not come with a small pan to fry an egg. Perfect addition and size to my set.

Have bought this item before and got years of use.They changed the style of the handle to be of split design and it lets the heat from the burners come through. This can be uncomfortable at times.Other than that it is still an excellent frying pan.

Unfortunately it arrived completely scratched (heavily) and some obvious deep dents too. I can't imagine anyone selling this. And it the quality was nothing like the other Calphalon cookware I own.
