Love this container! I got it in the 12 qt size. It is bigger than I expected, but use it for large batches of food, like for a large party. Truthfully, I use my 6qt ones more often, especially for bread making, but this is perfect if I have a very large salad or something that used to take me 2 large bowls or more. It is easy to clean and seems durable.

For about 10 frustrating minutes I was sure it was the wrong size and would never fit. I threw it across the room (it makes a great frisbee) and it must of loosened it up, because when I patiently tried again it snapped on perfectly.

I soaked the newer lid in hot water, and it fit not easily, but it fit. There are two different styles of lids with different numbers on the lids. The old style lid (RFS12SCPP) with a very skinny rim and a newer style lid (RFSC12PP) with a thicker rim. The pictures in the item look like the old style lid, they should update the pictures and description of how it fits. The lower lid in the picture is the old style. The upper one is the new style I assume, and what I received. Shipping took longer than expected as well. After leaving the lid on the bucket for a while it was easier to deal with but by no means easy like the old lids were. It’s hard to give more than one star because I feel the lids really aren’t right however, if this is all that’s available, they do work.

I was a little apprehensive about buying this after reading some of the reviews. It is, however, exactly right, and I’m glad I bought it.

I was surprised at the heavy duty weight of this product. I wanted it to be able to cover my tub for sourdough bread making. It’s a big sturdy lid. Food safe, a must. Very excited to get some large batches of bread in the works!
