edit: the review i wrote was under the impression the hose had frozen at 9 degrees with -11F windchill. it didn't! the hose has a spigot cover and warms that connection, but I had about 2" of pipe behind the spigot exposed to the elements. that is where the freeze happened. the hose works great even just sitting on the ground not covered in snow or anything, exposed to the wind.original review: this hose works well, but it seems to have frozen at around 9 degrees F. We have the hose exposed to all elements including wind. I'll cover it from the wind and see if that helps. I'll try t remember to update this review with the results

I bought this for my RV and it works perfectly. We had 22° weather overnight and my pipes didn't freeze. The underbelly of my camper is also heated so that made a difference. But the hose did not freeze at all

First of all - check the hose fitting at both ends when connecting for the first time. There was one review stating that it was leaking from the rubber sleeve - it’s actually the fitting and needs to be tightened. Requires the use of 2 wrenches or a wrench and socket. Mine seemed like they were screwed on by a baby or a weak elderly person.Another review was calling for a sleeve that could be slid over the fittings. Mine came with 2 rubber cylinders in the box. That’s what those are.I’m only planning on using mine from 0-28 degrees or so. It’s supposed to get down to single digits tonight and if my water stays running I’ll be happy. It is a little concerning about the reviews of the hose braking or freezing at temperatures below 0. I’m sure these hoses are built to a certain spec - there’s going ti be a percentage of failures, it’s just how things are. They were balanced out by the guy that winters in Canada. I’m not interested at all in purchasing supplies and fashioning my own hose - I’ll surely go through warranty If that happens.

Worked great one time. Second use temperatures dropped to 20 overnight and it would not heat, even though the light indicator wouild be lit. Junk. I woke to frozen pipes. Don't buy ut. You will be better off just trickling your sink water and make sure you leave open the gray water dump valve or youl may overfill your gray tank. . If you are boodocking then move somewhere with a septic hookup or head south. A tip: trickle water with both hot and cold water. Else your hot water line will freeze.

So far it works. It heats up as expected. It's a better fit design than competitors. It appears to be built decent. It should say the temperature rating on the hose in my opinion but it doesn't. Came with information but not the temperature rating in the package/could have more information. Pricey though.

*TLDR, Too Long Didn't Read* Do Not waste your money. Failed right out of box. Leaked at above freezing temps With upstream pressure regulator. Did not test the heating feature due to the hose leaking from under the insulation sleeve somewhere. Very disappointed. Build your own or insulate well. If you do choose to take a gamble with this item then Thoroughly test it as soon as it arrives and take pics/ video. Would share the video but it won't upload correctly, (not too tech savvy), but I know plumbing, mechanical, etc.The long review: Other reviews have mentioned the hose leaking or failing Even with pressure regulators (which we use and replace regularly) - this is factual. Failed on first hookup Before it reached the freezing temps. Please Do Not Buy this sub par constructed item. It's a shame really since we have bought a lot of Camco branded items over the years. Our unit seemed ok out of the box (bought on sale weeks before the cold season and didn't need it til about 6 days after the return window closed). I should have tested as soon as it arrived but Optimistically Trusted with the 'name brand' mindset. Amazon was courteous, but did not do anything for us except refer us to Camco to try to get them to replace the defective hose. Take our hard learned lesson and many others and Do Not buy these products. Either research youtube for making one from scratch yourself or over insulate your water lines/ hoses and set everything to drip during sub freezing temps (mostly applying to full time rvers or camping in colder climates). We bought the 1in diameter 1/2 in thick 6ft foam pipe insulation (about R2 insul value), foil backed fiberglass pipe insulation (R6 insul value), and then waterproofed with an outer sheath of reflectix and zip ties from lowe's and have had no issues down to 18 degrees with lower wind chills (installed on the fresh water hose, pressure regulator, and water in line filter from spigot post to camper and also wrapped the spigot for good measure). Our rig is 4 season/ belly insulation and sheet metal bottom no skirt. **Invest in the two way hose splitter off the spigot, add quick disconnects, then a "Freeze Miser" or similar product** It will automatically open and drip before it reaches freezing temps to prevent the water line from freezing. Easy to unbox, easy to install (like a regular hose), Only After testing for leaking or defects plug into appropriate safe and rated outlet. Not super heavy (25ft). Keeps a semi coiled memory after unboxing but seems to relax and become somewhat flexible. Nice color. Looks quality at first glance (even though several reviewers like us have had defective units).

The hole works well and the water inside does not freeze. Most of the time you will need an extension cord to plug power into your hose because it is short enough that it can't reach the power box because the water and the power box are never right next to each other. So I wish the power cable was just another foot longer, but does it keep your water from freezing yes? It does get barely warm enough to the touch to tell if it is even on, It is not very flexible so you have manhandled it a little. It is pretty heavy duty so it's tough to damage.

So far, no problems. The hose is in use with no issues, appears heavily made and heats as needed. I have read the other revues and installed a pressure reducer valve that keeps the water-pressure at below 40 pounds to keep the hose from being stressed by over-pressurization. I recommend this product, I will amend this revue if issues arise, but so far, its great.

Needed for camping in the South during cold weather. It kept my water from freezing overnite. In addition, if using for rv'ing you will need something to cover the connection at the rv (used a portion of a pool noodle). We also used a heat tape to wrap the water tap and water pressure regulator. Good quality hose and keeps incoming water from freezing.

I'd avoid buying this one because I feel the quality isn't there for the expensive price. As many have said, it works fine at first, but good luck getting a second season out of it. It was -22 C last night and it froze up because it didn't turn on. Given how big of a deal that is when you live in a 5th wheel something reliable is high priority. This is not. I requested a replacement so we will see if they will do the right thing or my 1 star review stands.

As described, came in on time.Didn’t work for our application because of length. Returned and ordered larger one
