This cap is perfect for back flushing and rinsing your holding tanks. It is easy to do with this Cap.1) Dump Black Water tank at the dump station.2) Close black water dump Valve.3) attach this Camco Sewer Cap with hose connection.4) Attach hose to cap.5) Open Black water gate valve.6) turn on water to back fill black water tank. CAUTION: DO NOT OVER FILL TANK. Water will back up through the vent valve and force nasty water out all over the RV roof if you do.Have someone look in the toilet valve inside the camper to tell you when to stop the back fill.7) Turn the water to the hose off.8) Close the black water tank gate valve.9) remove this cap and attache your sewer drain pipe (Stinky Slinky).10) Drain Black water tank11) Close black water gate valve12) repeat these steps until the black water tank is clean. A clear extension added to the drain hose will let you observe the water coming out and you will know when the tank is clean.13) repeat the same steps with your grey water tank.14) Attach the Camco Sewer cap with Hose connection to your Stinky Slinky sewer hose and turn on the water to completely flush the hose.WARNING: If you close the tank gate valve with the hose attached and water flowing, the pressure will blow this cap off the tank drain causing you to have a very bad day. DO NOT PUT PRESSURE ON THIS CAP WITH THE GATE VALVE CLOSED. The water under pressure has to go somewhere. That will be all over you. You may want to purchase a backflow preventer to make sure no black water backs up into your water hose.Lastly *** NEVER USE YOUR DRINKING WATER HOSE TO FLUSH OUT THE HOLDING TANKS *** Always use a seperate hose for potable water than the one you use for other purposes. Special SAFE hoses are available at a very reasonable price on Amazon for drinking water. Any old garden hose is good for utility and flushing the waste tanks. Although I do keep a dedicate hose for each purpose in my RV. Leaving dedicated hoses in your RV means you will never be camping without them.

I like that it has a 4 point lock last one had 2 and didn't last two years one tab would break and soon after the other one would fail.
