This Y valve is heavy duty and appears to be solidly built. All the parts feel tight but operate smoothly and of quality. After some tweaking on my system, I was able to obtain no leaks. I use this for home brewing beer to split my laundry supply line as I don't have an outdoor hose connection. One thing I learned is that you don't need Teflon tape on the threads for this device and it will actually work better without it.

I have purchased several of these and they are well made. I use them in an outer building that I use a hose to supply water to. I had the water tested and it came through indicating it was safe to drink so this splitter did the trick for me. The toggles are easy to use too.

Of all the valves we have had, these have held up the best. We run a farm and tend to go through stuff like these. These have withstood the test of time and two harsh winters.We actually also use this on our well and we have never had it bust or freeze or break during big freezes even though many other parts have had to be replaced on the well itself!I feel bad for the negative reviewers because we have been through a lot of hose parts ourselves but this has upheld over them all. For whatever reason, the garden hose industry is incredibly cheap and crappy and awful in quality. They really need to step up their game.

I use this for my RV so I can connect my drinking water hose and my utility hose to the campground faucet. I've used other products, and they are all cheaply made. This is the only decent, heavy duty product out there. The valves are solid, don't leak, and operate smoothly. The female side spins freely so you can screw it on to a spigot, then orient the male end the way you want it. You can drop it on concrete and it won't break.

Use for drinking water hoses in camping.I paid the extra for the all-brass type, as I want one that will last.Valves are a little bit hard to operate, but overall I am confident that this will not break or leak anytime soon.
