I got these for a children’s camp. A neighbor and myself decided to try y them out first and they were very difficult to get started. We soaked the red for an hour and still had problems with bending the reeds to attach to the base. Once that was done the actual basket weaving was easy and enjoyable. Finishing the top, again was frustrating but doable. I opted for another craft for the children’s camp as it would require too much adult help. I kept them as I think they would make a good project for older kids and they do look nice when finished. For what I paid , I think it is a good deal, but not a project for younger (under10) kids.

used this for our introduction to basket weaving for the kids. Huge success because it was easy and quick and instilled some fundamentals without requiring the difficulty of making the bottom of the basket. Great introductory kit so the kids could see what basketry is without getting turned off from the difficulty. Good price too.

Ordered this for my daughter after using them for our 4th grade Colonial Day event. Really easy to use, simple instructions, and you can make so many baskets with this kit!

I used this in a homeschool co-op class for grades 3-5. Everyone loved it, including my adult class helpers! Kept our class of 10 and three adults busy for an entire hour. Some students finished up by the end of class and others had to take some of the extra reeds to finish at home.
