This make toast possible even when you can't be home at a toaster. The toaster is made high quality stainless steel. Ths portable, folder camp toaster is easy to put together and store. The legs of the toaster are removable and come out to store under the bottom pan. Once the camp toaster is together it is easy to use. You just need to place the toaster base on a heating source, add bread and wait for it to turn to your favorite shade of golden brown. Once your done, jsut take the legs off the toaster and wash it in warm water. This toaster is great to have when you want to make breakfast on the grill. By just adding the toaster to the grill, the toast was ready in just a few minutes. I know this will be great to when we go out with the family on a weekend outting.

Decent way to make toast on the stove for a fair price. Requires more flame than expected - e.g. my gas stove has 1 through 6 and I am toasting with gas set between 5 and 6.What I like ~• Easy to assemble and folds relatively flat without fully disassembling it again.• Easy to clean.• Easy to monitor the progress of the toast and pull them at the exact right time.What I do not like ~• Seems to be made for smaller slices of bread than I am used to. Does a great job with two pieces of bread but when toasting 4, the edges tend to overlap (see pic).• Requires more fuel for a larger flame than expected, which means it will consume more propane than expected (but toast is luxury when camping so just be aware).

This is a very well made camping toaster. I have had a carbon steel toaster like this for over 40 years. Have enjoyed having it on numerous hikes. But, it has started to show it's age. Rust. As much as I hate to retire it, this stainless toaster is a quality replacement. Well designed and light weight. The listing shows the wire framework being folded down for packing. But, the toasters arrived with the wire frame under the bottom of the toaster. My old toaster can be packed the same way. For me it's very easy and good way to store the wire frame while hiking. Allows the wire framework to be very secure and out of the way. I like my bagels toasted only on their cut side. And this type of toaster has always done this prefect for me. Better than any electric toaster I have had in my kitchen. I use this type of toaster on a single burner, folding gas camp stove. A great low tech toaster for background camping. Or car camping. The listing say, "The stainless steel may darken when exposed to high heat." It is not "may". This toaster will get hot. It will darken. Not a problem for the durability. And for me it is a nice reminder of past adventures.

Very well made, easy to set up, use and break down, it's the perfect size to fit on most single burner camp/picnic/buffet stoves. He might even have luck using it on a single burner ultralight backpacking stove. Toasting ability is excellent, it is very lightweight and compact and really value priced.

This Camp Stove Toaster is exactly what I had hoped it would be. A tried and true design that is the same as when I went camping as a kid. Works well over a camping burner, but you need some patience and need to manually flip as you go. Cooking over a camp stove should be attended to anyway, so no biggie. I see some reviews stating it isn't truly folding. The supports do fold down when in place, but don't stay all the way down without a little help from a rubber band or something similar. You could always disassemble to make it even smaller, but folding it is an option. Naturally, the shiny finish discolored from the heat...totally anticipated but I thought I'd mention for folks who need to manage expectations. A solid choice for a camp toaster at a good price point!

I got this to replace my old Colghans toaster which was not made out of stainless steel. If you have ever used one of these for a while you know that rust is a problem because the toaster gets hot and any oil gets burned off. This stainless steel will turn a bluish color but does not rust. It is a well made product and contrary to some other reviews it is not hard to put together. Put the bails on in parallel pairs and it will go right together.

Product is well constructed but doesn’t toast bread over a gas stove. Tried large and small burners on my kitchen stove and the bread gets dry and crispy but never brown. Not a stove problem, it heats other stuff fine. I’d recommend this for camping but not home use.
