Many years ago I picked up a 19th century chain hoist that requires 5/16" chain with each link exactly 1 7/8" long. Unlike a cable ratchet come along which must be re-set every couple of feet this mechanical chain hoist can operate with any length so long as every link is exactly 1 7/8" long. I used all 90' of the chain in moving a number of large logs never having to re-set the chain hoist and experience no slippage of the chain hoist due to the uniformity of the 1 7/8" length of each link. Excellent product at a good price.

easy to get out of the bucket and woor fine for easy pulling equipment ,but not sure how well they will hold up under a heavy pull

I bought these because the picture made me confident I was purchasing the item I was looking for.It is not. And for the price I expect at least what was advertised.
