Our favorite family campground suffers from . . . occasional hooliganism and EVERY firepit has a wonky, bashed, or bent-up fire grill intended to rotate in and out of the fire -- as when you are building the fire from a cold or damp situation.I found that it was brilliant when used on a 'veteran of decades' fire pit with years of ash... Leveling was accomplished by tapping with a small stone. I used it with 4qt dutch ovens and cast iron skillets. Usually, though, it supported the 6qt. enamel pot used to heat or pre-heat water for general uses like coffee, but more often for cleaning. Gallons over the course of two weeks...

We use this on our propane fire pit to cook, we can use it at two different heights and it has been perfect for even cooking and has held up!

overall great product, metal is little thin. it is only available in 2 sizes. they should make in diff diameters like 12", 14", 16" for diff pot sizes. the price is right. like i said it is a great light weight product to carry on the go.but they should make it in heavier gauge steel for long lasting product for outdoor cooking.so far very happy with it. -PP, New Jersey.

This stand is of a useful size and I like that it’s not overly heavy and folds up. It has a decent storage/carry bag. I used this as a stand to hold my cast iron dutch oven after cooking food in the hot coals or to hold the lid when checking on the food. For me, this works great since I’m forever looking for a place to set these down when hot and I don’t want to set them on the ground.

Don’t buy!!! Leg melted and bent causing my pot to lean, almost spilling and had to take the pot off causing food not to finish cooking!

Fire restrictions, so used this over my gas fire pit for camping and cooked solely off that. Work great. Loved that it folds up and makes it easier to store amongst all my other camping gear.
