This backpack seems to be well-made with durable nylon material and decent plastic zippers. It is really a very basic backpack - no inside pockets, no laptop padding, no water bottle pockets, no padded straps. The college logo is screen printed, although it does seem to be a quality printing job. And it does easily fold up into a much smaller size. If you are looking for something that you can pack in your luggage and use to keep some items together, it will work for that. I would not want to use this as a daily backpack, or for carrying something like a laptop, as it won't offer much protection or comfort.

Buy this for your kid when they start middle school and I promise you it will last into college. Seriously - that durable.Plus, this backpack has all the different compartments you could possibly want, a strong zipper, and soft (enough) padding for the shoulder straps.The stitching looks even and strong, there are no loose threads or fraying edges. I expect this to last me a good long time!

This is a nice simple backpack. My son is a Texas State student and can always use another backpack. He won't be using this for school, as it doesn't feel strong enough to hold everything he carries to classes. He will be using it in his free time to carry things like his wallet and EpiPen while out and about, and sometimes to carry a football and water bottles when they head out hang out at the park. I have a lot of Texas State merchandise and I will say that the maroon in the logo appears to be darker than I expected, almost brownish. It's not a big deal, as maroon can come in varying shades. The backpack is sturdy enough, and nice and roomy without being too big and bulky. It is perfect for my son's needs.

The biggest plus for this bag is the college emblem on it. No padding on the shoulder straps or in the bag. Just a very lightweight, very basic bag. Wouldn't want to put much weight in it. Zippers are just so so.

If you are a Purdue student, alumni or just fan, then this Purdue University Primary Logo Lightweight Backpack is a great find. It's lightweight and well made. The seams are sewn well and the zippers work great. It's easy to carry and the straps are padded well. This backpack will made a great gift for any grad.

This is a very good backpack. It will likely hold up for a semester or two, especially if not carrying heavy text books.It is very nice in appearance. Good canvas, not junky. The "P" is silk screened, I think.Handy feature is that the backpack can fold down into itself, making it a smaller bag. I imagine for traveling when I anticipate needing another bag of souvenirs. I do not know how many times the "P" will last being folded down and popped open.The zipper is smooth and opens in both directions.
