This propane melting furnace is fantastic! It heats up quickly and melts metal easily. The 7KG capacity is perfect for my projects, and it’s very easy to use. It’s built well and feels very durable. Product is as described. I followed the instructions to prepare the crucible. Thr build quality is very good. I think the burner could be secured better as I felt it was a bit loose. In addition, the crucible feels a bit weak. I don't have anything to compare it to but it's showing signs of wear after a few uses.I did an initial melt of brass , which was old left over plumbing fittings. Getting the gas to air ratio was a learning experience as well as the temp of the brass.For my first attempt? Proud of the results. I will continue to learn.Word of caution. Please use safety equipment. Gloves, apron and face shield. Also be mindful that you must pay attention to the burn and be aware of placing your crucible on a surface which can handle the heat.Go out and be creative!

This is my first foundry so I'm not coming from years of experience but so far I am very pleased. Overall the construction is good and I've had no issues with weak points though only time will tell. It does take a little time and experimenting to get the burners dialed in but now it starts easily and heats up very quickly. Be fair warned that this 25kg version is a beast when it comes to pouring. I added a little fabrication to the pouring tongs in order to pour by myself because this crucible is an absolute unit. Also the tongs are nothing special, I plan on upgrading them soon but they're sufficient to get you going. I'll try to update this as the furnace ages. Happy melting!

Very easily to setup and runs efficiency. Gets to temperature quickly. Don't have to adjust air intake. This is the second one I have purchased, the first one was around $500 this one was half the price that and larger. I have no fear of of the pieces failing. The quality of the tongues are great.The only dislike is no handle to open the lid

Works great. The interior dimensions of the furnace are large enough to accommodate the tongs used for reaching in to remove the crucible. These tongs put less stress on the crucible by supporting it from the bottom as the crucible is removed. Great for heavier metals. I purchased this kit to melt 50 lbs of lead to make ballast for historic single hung windows.

This thing kicks ass, heats up super quick, easy to set up, but I have one small issue. I bought the biggest one, like 26k crucible or something, and they give you these mega sized tongs to pick it up with, but they give you these puny sized tongs that I assume you use to pour the contents of the crucible out with, but they are too small to even open wide enough to grab the crucible. I just figured maybe they'd give you appropriately sized equipment with which one you bought. Maybe just a packaging slip up? Either way, now I have to get bigger tongs.

I have had a couple propane smelters this one by far is worth the money. The assembly is easy. Quality is very good. It heats up quickly and made short work of my material. Even copper which has a high temperature threshold. It will do well for the at home smelter and gold refining processor.

Have had a interest in metal melting for a long time, I purchased this foundry without knowing anything about brands or designs for the price this foundation is a OK entry level melter but the shape of it isn't ideal for the flow design of the fire
