I got one of these to use in the big can cooker. On its test run got a last second change in plans and ended up trying it with a seven pound chicken. To my surprise the chicken fit and the stand stayed upright. It worked great and the only setback is that the chicken was so tender it collapsed under its own weight.

We LOVE our cancooker. The ONLY complaint is that I feel kind of ripped off because I had to purchase this rack separately. It should come with each and every cooker. They could raise the price of the cooker by a couple of dollars and save a ton of money on separate shipping if they did. The way it is seems kind of "Gouge-y" to me. The rack is great. It holds cubed veggies and meat up off of the cooking surface so there is less risk of burning anything. As a standalone item this would be highly recommended for cooking vessels that don't come with something similar. As a necessary purchase that should not be a separate purchase, not recommended and feels wrong.

I actually have 2 different size can cooker in each of my homes, the smaller one is still big enough to fit 3 racks of ribs (barely). I like these racks to put the ribs or other things above the liquid thus this is my second purchase for the second can cooker. After cooking the ribs at a campsite with friends I’m afraid I’ll have to bring it every single trip by popular demand. The racks are sturdy and easy to place inside the cooker, easy to wash too.
