These plugs work great for my daughter, as she is using my Armstrong flute from 25 years ago and they fit perfectly and stay put.

Bought these for my Flute methods class, my school rents out flutes but only had open tone hole flutes left to rent. I bought these and avoided having to rent or buy a flute from outside the school!To they come in a little plastic bag, and are easy to install. Make sure not to push them too far into the tone holes, I lost a couple because they slipped through. If you need to adjust them, slipping a stiff card or toothpick works well to move it up or down the tone hole.

As a 72 year-old flutist I have finally reached a point where I cannot quite get the G key covered. My fingers are less fleshy than they once were, so even with good hand position it is an iffy proposition to get that key covered. One night after rehearsal I decided enough was enough and ordered these guys. Boy, am I glad I finally did! My partner in crime, in her 60s asked if she could have a couple, and together we plugged up all the problem keys. She plays a vintage KG Gemeinhardt, and the fit was acceptable if perhaps a tiny bit loose. I have a less vintagey KG and the fit was the same, but on my 50 year-old Haynes the plug is nice and snug. It is hard ro believe how a tiny dollop of silicone can give you your sound and your confidence back, but these little miracles did just that. The only reason for the 4 stars is the loose fit on the Gemeinhardts.

Of late I've noticed a rapid decline in technique and facility due to my arthritis problems. I took some time to evaluate my finger placement and plugged a couple of the holes that my fingers seemed to have trouble reaching, and voila! I'm MUCH better now! Not what I was when I was at my best (pre-arthritis), but a LOT better than a couple months ago.

I bought these for my daughter for her open flute which came with 5 of these plugs. They appear to be the same as the 5 original that came with her flute which we set aside (for now in case she decides to sell her flute in the future). Now with 20 of these there is no worries that they won't match the others in case she loses one of them. The price was right.
