Recently I purchased an original R5 and I wanted to purchase a couple of extra batteries. Since the cost was the same as the LP-E6NH, I bought 1 LP-E6P to try out in the R5. No problems, was recognized & registered as expected and worked without issue. Charged in all my LP-E6 compatible chargers, Canon and 3rd party with no issues or warnings, getting a full 100% charge as shown in the camera body after charging was complete. So, I order a 2nd one and run them in the battery grip for the original R5. Working perfectly as the LP-E6NH pair I was using when I got the R5.

Firmware and this battery make the R5c a very usable camera. Full function off a small battery is great.

I had concerns about buying a battery from Amazon because of all the counterfeits floating around, but I had a gift card and I needed a spare battery. As far as I can tell, it's legit! The holograms look proper, my camera recognizes it as genuine and gave me a serial number for the battery, and I was able to take just as many pictures from a full charge as I was with the battery that came from with my camera!

Wow, what a difference it makes on improving the battery life on my R5c. It's improved the runtime by around 30%, a huge improvement. It handles full amperage delivery all the way down to 0% so I’ve been getting these runtimes (minutes): HEVC: 4K30 (90), 4K60 (60), 4K120 (65) XF-AVC: 4K30 (80), 4K60 (55), 4K120 (55).

This works great in my 5D mk III and R6 MKII. No issues with fitting in the battery grip tray.

Over the years I have used Canon brand and other brands of batteries in my camera. The original brand always lasts longer. Why risk missing a shot for a cheaper price.
