Don't buy it. This, by far, is the worst scanner you have ever seen. I am not even I'm not sure why making reliable software for scanners is so hard. This one does not work most of the time. You have to reboot your computer every time you want to use it.

High performance Canon product. Works perfectly with my Canon Pixma-100 color photo printer. Exceptional resolution. Would buy again.

This would be a nice scanner if wasn't constructed so poorly. We had this scanner for 31 days before it broke. The return policy gave us 30 days, so now we can't return it. The plastic gears that move the scanner broke and now this will not scan. When it was working it was a decent scanner. But for this to break in one month is ridiculous!I do not recommend this product.2 stars for its scanning quality. But really its construction quality is garbage.

Great scanner for a few years but then Canon stopped providing driver updates. Not worth buying now.

Handleling the film is indeed a little tricky and takes time. But when used with care, the results are fantastic. Tip : if the film is rolling, put a sheet of glass over it.

Works pretty well. A little time consuming if you need to do a whole lot of pictures (for film). There are a little anomalies when scanning film that are either the result of little pieces of dust in the scanner or a dirty lens. But nevertheless it works well and I would recommend.

Not great , not bad . If you need to scan film negatives 35 mm , it is a simple and very lower end quality , but just ok for price. If you do not need to scan negatives , please find another scanner ( or all in one) for less than this one is listed at by the manufacturer . I found this used at a huge discount price so I can live with it .If you want a good film scanner - get something else .Software is a bit archaic . Though - Easy set up.

I use a scanner virtually everyday managing my "paper trail" (e.g., receipts, statements) electronically and recently my trusty Canon LiDE 60 (6 years old) died and I needed a replacement.A quick search, great price and free shipping at Amazon.ca sealed the deal. This scanner produces great images faster and quieter (expected) than its predecessor and has additional options (i.e., film scanning).Overall very impressed with product and great value for money.
