This lens does a great job! I'm not a professional and don't want to spend big bucks in len's for a hobby but I want to enjoy my hobby and enhance it by wanting it to produce fruitful results to have some pride in and to share. This lens really exceeded my expectations and does a terrific job, I am well satisfied. The product looks absolutely new and takes great zoom images. I have attached a few. If you are looking for a lens for great images and you don't want to mortgage the farm buy it! I put it off for a couple weeks reading reviews and decided to take a chance...Columbus did and glad I did. Great buy and product!

I'm fa from a pro photographer, and my budget for lenses is low. I'm generally interested in nature and larger birds (my poor eyesight precludes my seeing the smaller ones well enough to photograph. My 24, 50, and 85mm primes suffice for most of my landscape and portrait pictures, but i needed a good inexpensive telephoto. My previous go-to was the Canon EF-S 55-250 zoom. I loved the lens but wanted a bit more reach.Compared to that lens, this one is a bit heavier and better built, with a more durable metal mount instead of the plastic on my previous lens. It is also slightly longer, but not enough to affect its balance. It's easy to hold and use without a tripod. I thought I would miss the image stabilization on from my earlier lens, but have not had any problem with jiggles. I've noticed no appreciable difference in either sharpness or color from my previous lens.All in all I'm very happy with the lens. It focuses slightly faster than the other one and gives me the little extra reach I wanted. And the "Renewed" lens looks and works like new. I look forward to many enjoyable sessions.

I shoot sports, portraits, nature, cars, and have worked semi-professionally. It's not like I'm a pro, but I've been doing this for 7 years, and this has always been a useful lens. For the price it's worth it. Simply put, you'll make your money's worth a thousand times over, it's got good zoom, can support high iso shooting range, and the zoom will zoom you in nicely. It's no telephoto giga zoom, but for your average person (like myself) you can get someone's face nicely centered 40 yards away at full zoom.That said, the aperture isn't great. 4-5.6 is noticeable, especially in low light. Depth of field is just lost a good bit, but it's not really an issue for the price.Hope that helps.

I got this a few months ago and I’ve loved it. I’m really into photography and it does what it’s supposed to do and it’s great! 10/10 would recommend getting.

Haven’t used this new lens a lot. Have taken a few shots of our neighborhood gator, Carl. Zoom range is pretty good. Not an especially fast lens, but a solid basic telephoto lens.
