This lens hood is a great add on to my Canon lens. This product is high quality. I did consider purchasing a knock off brand but didn't want to risk the "you get what you pay for" issue. I am absolutely happy that I chose to pay a little more and get the EXACT FIT piece for my lens. The hood is very solid and feels as though it will hold up for a long time. It is definitely not some cheap piece of plastic, it is thick and has a great matte finish/feel. The hood can be reversed or flipped around backwards to fit over the lens for travel and storage. The hood does of course serve it's purpose too preventing flare issues for all situations not to mention it looks cool. If you are wondering if this will fit your lens I suggest you go to the Canon website to check compatibility. I have the Rebel T6i and this is the hood for the kit lens - EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS STM lens.I highly recommend this piece!If you found my review helpful, please let me know!

Tight fit. Have to be careful with it. Reverses, but also a pretty tight fit. I'd buy again, especially since I couldn't get the Canon OEM brand on Amazon.I tried another brand from A&R Photo/Video but returned it--it didn't fit.

I purchased this lens hood for a Canon EF-S 18-55mm IS STM lens.The lens hood is perfect for reducing side glare and other artifacts from indirect light. It has a matte interior finish which also reduces reflected light.This is an incredibly well made product. There is a red dot to line up the hood perfectly to attach it. There is a satisfying click when it's locked in place. It is so much better than the knock off products out there, and that's why you pay a bit more. I've tried the generic ones, and they aren't even close to this in quality. This lens hood meets high standards that Canon sets for even accessories for its cameras.The hood is reversible, which means it takes up less room when you're stowing a lens.I highly recommend this lens hood.

While this does work, I agree with a few others here that it does not seem to fit well. When you turn it to put it on, it doesn't have a stop point. You must only turn it ONLY until it feels like it will stay on otherwise if you continue to turn, it will pop back off. Even when you feel like it will stay on, it is not truly locked on, it could potentially pop off with continued photo taking or a slight bump or during storage.There is a small gap around where it connects also...not sure if this could affect things or not as I am a novice.I feel like I should have went with a cheaper brand rather than paying this much for a name...but was hopeful that the name brand would be the best. I expected better from Canon :(

Bought this lens hood for my Canon EOS T3 that I had received as a Christmas present. I'm an amateur photographer at best but understand the reasons behind using a hood. That said, this hood didn't quite fit my lens perfectly, unless I'm doing something wrong. The hood on my telephoto lens spins on then stops while this hood you can spin around and around and isn't very clear on where to line the indexing marks up. Again, maybe it's my inexperience. The hood does seem however to stay on once you get it to hold properly.

A la tercera va la vencida. Anteriormente probé otros 2 pero uno no encajaba firme en el objetivo y el otro ao enfocar de cerca se veian sombras laterales en las fotos. Lo recomiendo al 100%

En realidad vi muchos comentarios de que no queda bien, pero pues también hay que saber ponerlo, la verdad no tuve problema y lo guardo asà en su funda. Buen material pues es canon
