Highly Recommend if you need some extra reach. If you know how to use your settings you can retain really good picture quality. Definitely keeping this for when I need some extra reach.

Despite the Canon name (and price) I expected a slight loss of quality. I've experienced none, not on a 100-400, not on the 200-800. You do lose an f stop, but with how well the R6ii handles an ISO bump, not an issue at all. Excellent product.

This works perfectly for my new RF100-400 lens. Gives me the extended reach I desire for my current photography needs.

I paired this with my Canon R 10 and RF 100 - 400 lens. That makes it a 140 -560 lens. It works well, with good sharp images. It works through the full range of the 100 - 400. You do lose a full F stop. And the auto focus is not quite as fast. But I am very pleased.

Unlike the 2x TC III, this 1.4x delivers! No noticeable loss of sharpness and no focus lag. Used with two Canon lenses, the EF f/4 400MM DO and the 500MM f/4 III. Expensive but really good.

I bought this zoom extender for a recent trip I took to the San Diego Zoo and it paid off in spades!I was able to capture some fantastic images with very little—if any!—quality or functionality loss.I paired this with my Canon EOS R and my RF 100-500mm f/4.5-7.1 lens and it worked like a charm. My only qualm is that instead of starting out at 140mm (100mm × 1.4x) is you have to start at 350mm (250mm × 1.4x) as your shortest zoom range. Also, this is best for daytime shooting as your minimum f-stop is now f/8-f/11 (depending on your zoom length). But otherwise it's fantastic and worth every penny.

Canon should've made this extender in a way that you could at least retract the lens completely for storage.Block by software pictures below 300mm (I'm using the RF 100-500mm) or let them be crap, people will know it is not made for that. By blocking it mechanically it means that I have to remove the extender every time I'm storing the camera (I'm not a professional, I don't use it regularly), and that I have to carry a much bigger bag when taking my camera for a spin.

Doesn't work well on a zoom lens, if you have a prime might be worth it but the image quality hit was not worth it for me.Used on Canon RF 100-500mm, wouldn't recommend foe this combo. It is not stackable like the EF versions.
