I've spent some time with cheaper calculators (ones is the $25-$40 range) and I have to say that I should have spent a little more money and purchased this one sooner. The quality difference is easily apparent as soon as you open the box. The inside mechanisms are of much higher quality. And the dust cover that is included was a surprising bonus. Although this takes up more desk space, it can easily do calculations 4 times faster than my last, smaller printing calculator (the cannon P23DH-V). Gone are the days of waiting for the calculator to catch up and print the numbers. This one spits them out half a second after you hit the buttons. This is only day one, so we'll have to wait and see how long it lasts, but so far I'm very glad for splurging and spending the extra money. If you do any amount of bookwork and number work, this is the calculator for you.

It works very well. I am having a challenge getting used to the total key on the left. My previous Canon that I had used for 15 years had the total key on the right. I do a lot of accounting and tax preparation so use the calculator a lot.

Its got the "00" key! It looks and feels like the Canon printing calculator I bought 25 years ago! This thing is built like and feels like a tank! I wish all business machine products were built the same and at a very competitive price,

There are other reviews on here on the mechanics of this machine, all are correct. All I want to say about it is this, I'm old school. I learned 10 key by touch before computers came along. And computer calculators are a joke. There is no satisfying sound like the 'click' on each key when you press in on this machine, no hum of the printer. This machine is 'old school' like me. Anyone who is in the industry will get exactly what I am saying. I love it, perfect!
