I bought this printer as part of the prime day deals in summer 2024. I needed a printer but didn’t want to drop big money on one, as I just needed one that could scan and print.This printer has done a really good job for me over that time frame. The starter ink cartridges lasted longer than I expected, and the setup was fairly easy. If you’re not tech savvy, it might be difficult, but the instructions are pretty easy to follow and a simple google search can help you set things up. Scanning requires you to install the canon scanning software on your computer or to use the canon app. It’s also not hard, but not as easy as just pressing ‘scan’ on the printer.As for jams - I only had one. Since the printer doesn’t have a tray to catch the paper when it prints, it falls on the surface you have it on. If you let it print for too long, sometimes the paper will start to build up on itself in a line, causing some pressure on the paper printing out. Clearing the jam was fairly simple, a google search and look at the manual solved it easily. Just keep an eye on the paper and move it away from the printer every few sheets and you’ll be fine! This is a solid deal if you just need a simple printer/scanner for a good price.
