Great basic compass tool, especially for the price. Helps navigating and orientation. Only thing I wish was that it had glow in the dark capability.

This compass has a wide range of adjustability with the pivot and tilt ball-joint. The markings are clear and easy to read. It mounts to any semi-flat surface very well. Before mounting with the adhesive I recommend checking various locations in your vehicle to see if the compass is attracted to other magnetic fields. I discovered that my instrument panel pulls the compass magnet, causing it to basically get stuck pointing in one direction. Speakers are especially troublesome, so don't install this near any of them.When installed on a spot with no interference, the compass works perfectly. I recommend it for anyone who likes to navigate without GPS every once in a while.

I have to give them credit. The compass functions the way a compass should, and has a useful design that rotates and bends for convenience.The problem is that a compass is designed to point toward the magnetic north pole, and a modern car is full of electromagnetic fields. From the onboard computer to the speakers in a sound system, any car built in the last couple of decades is going to be full of things the compass is going to point at that aren't north.I can't give this product one star because it technically works, but selling it as a tool for a vehicle is a mistake. The very concept is flawed no matter how well it is executed.If you have an extremely old vehicle or want to use this compass for something other than a vehicle I'm sure it's fine. But it's supposed to be a "car compass".
